Layout Components

Rain uses a tool called Layout Builder, which takes a component based approach to building content. With Layout Builder, any given page content is broken up into multiple “Content Blocks,” or “Components” of varying types. As the editor, you will place blocks onto the page layout in a top down fashion to indicate the blocks you want to use to build the page! Note: If you are creating a new page, you will need to give the page a title, meta description, and slider (Hero image) and save the page before you can access the Layout. After saving, when editing the page again, you will have access to the “Layout” tab, which allows you to build the page using components. For existing pages, you can edit the page and you will see the Layout tab available, as in this example:

The layout view lets you place and arrange blocks to build your page.

There are multiple components available in Rain to build pages with. This section discusses each component and how it is used.
